Ymone Haejanggook - Strathfield

Jesus! I am saddened by some innocent (or ignorant) positive reviews I am seeing here as they don't know what they are being subjected to. For anyone in the know this is actually a downright place to avoid. The food is alright but the issue is hygiene. Koreans who are familiar with the area generally avoid this establishment as they know that here in this restaurant, they actually routinely recycle their customers' leftover food. They would give the leftovers from their customers' menu (side dishes etc.) a summary wash and reuse those to serve other customers. I know it's gross but sadly this is something has been known to happen in few places in Korea too a while back. But I would have to admit that the taste of the food is good and that's why they get a large number of clients despite a number of other haejangguk places in the area

Great traditional Korean food! Very popular on weekends ~ very long queue! The menu does not have too many choices, but quality beats the crowd

This place specializes in traditional Korean hango soup, call Haejanggook and it's pretty good, but I draw the soup from North Strathfield, call Ryde Haejanggook. I have not tried another dishes, but I can not understand why there is always a series in this restaurant if your specialty number one is only satisfactory.

Traditional korean restaurant, known for their soup and rice combination! Gets very packed during peak hours, may be bit of a line. Ordered the pork soup with rice, sundae&vegetable soup with rice, ox blood soup with rice and porkbone soup with rice. All the dishes come piping hot although came at 3~minute intervals. Portions will fill you right up however some people may have trouble eating the intestines in the soup. Tasty, filling and hot if you dont mind though!

If you can not handle, do not go in. For those who can handle intestines, this place has a great bowel soup. The menu is quite misleading that the spicy pork soup is full of intestinal and pork slices. It looks angry, but the taste is great.
