Papa Urb's Grill - Stockton

Delicos authentic and flavorful and not to costly. Great place for Filipino cuisine.

Hubby and I were in Stockton to give a training. Craving for Filipino food, we came here for lunch. We ordered lechon kawali, bangus and dinuguan meals with turon and halo-halo. Food was alright, although the lechon kawali and the turon weren’t the best. Lechon kawali was bland and not too crunchy as I expected it to be. Turon had a soggy banana inside. Staff were pleasant and served well. Space was big but their color black seemed a bit depressing to me. I hope they’ll brighten it up with some nice large wall accents.

The first time I went was a weekday at lunch took forever to find parking and then there was a 30 min wait for food. I went back on a weekend and ordered ahead and this went much faster! I needed to add multiple sides of vinegar (free on the side) and then I was a pretty happy camper. Place is clean and service was good.

The best food with excellent service in downtown Stockton!

Loved this place when I ate meat but since I've been vegan for 8 years, I haven't been back and MISS IT. Would appreciate veganized (or vegetarian) version of our favorite plates.
