The Velveteen Speakeasy - Stillwater

This is an intriguing spot. I made a last-minute reservation and was pleasantly surprised. The service was excellent with a very attentive server. I brought my young children, ages 10 and under, and I would recommend reconsidering that choice; older teens would be a better fit. The signature cocktails we tried were just average, and the beer selection was quite limited—though I assume that’s not the main attraction here. The hatchet throwing was enjoyable, and the staff ensured everyone was well taken care of. Overall, we had a great time!

Fun place to go and super friendly staff. Food is pretty tasty although my Cuban was incredibly fatty. Will go back but probably won?t order it again. Tacos were amazing though. The axe throwing instructor was super helpful in getting my large group on the mark when it came to throwing.

Awesome bar service with a great axe throwing coach to guide us through our first time. Our family had an amazing time. We loved the atmosphere and decor.

We showed up at 8:55pm to the doors locked and two people inside. Called 4 times and knocked and they just looked at us. Clearly states they close at 10pm. Very poorly ran business.

I visited this restaurant for my birthday, and I was impressed by their strong focus on COVID safety. We felt both safe and welcome during our time there. The throwing experience was enjoyable and effortless, thanks to the friendly and understanding coaches. The food was delicious, well-prepared, and served hot. The kettle chips with aioli were a standout dish. I tried the Asian beef tacos, and they were fantastic. Plus, there’s convenient parking nearby and a wonderful atmosphere. I’ll definitely be returning!
