Amici's Taverna - Steger

We will be there tonight around 7 or 7:30 to eat. Have to get my last pasta dish in before you guys close. I've only been able to eat there a few times with my girl friends and I have enjoyed it tremendously.... we are friends with Ron.

I really enjoy this restaurant, even though I don't get to visit often. I've always felt welcomed here, and I've never left feeling hungry. The chef's specials are fantastic, and the menu is simple yet comprehensive. Even the kids found dishes they liked! My last visit definitely won't be my last. Highly recommended!

You will be absolutely delighted that you visited this restaurant. Even days later, you'll find yourself still feeling happy about the experience. You'll definitely want to return for more. The cuisine is truly authentic Italian, and the staff are fantastic as well.

We absolutely loved our meal! My husband chose the fried fish, while I went for the grilled chicken sandwich. The fish was meaty and flaky, coated in a light and crispy breading. My chicken sandwich was cooked to perfection—juicy and full of flavor, complemented by nicely roasted peppers and served on fresh, crusty bread. My husband also ordered a side of pasta with tuna gravy, and we were pleasantly surprised at how reminiscent it was of home-cooked meals.

I visited this restaurant once with my family, and that was more than enough. They greeted us with political flyers, and perhaps our refusal to engage with them influenced the poor service we received. The beef sandwiches were cold, overcooked, and chewy, while the fries were limp and cold as well. Despite there only being one other couple present, the service was slow. The only redeeming quality was the beer, which was acceptable.
