Visited for Sunday lunch for a birthday get together. Seemed very short staffed, the bar staff were having to leave the bar unattended to deliver food to tables. A simple 'won 't be a moment ' would have gone a long way instead of just being ignored and left stood at the bar without being served for a good five minutes. The food arrived, I like vegetables al dente, but the parsnips, beans and cabbage were very undercooked, half of our party had to change their choice of meat as by 1 o 'clock they had already run out of beef. We cleared the table ourselves and the dirty plates were still there when 2 of our parties sweets arrived (one of which was the wrong order). Very poor all round and unfortunately put a dampener on celebrations.

Sunday Lunch Lovely lunch of duo Sunday meats turkey and beef and a rump steak followed by a lovely pudding. Food was cooked beautifully and plenty of food on the plate. Staff were lovely and attentive lovely pub.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant. The food was excellent, especially the loaded potato skins which are a must-try! The portion size was generous enough for two people to share as a starter. The staff was lovely, two young gentlemen served us and they were very pleasant.

The drinks were great, but we had to wait a long time for our food. By the time it arrived, we had almost finished our drinks, which was disappointing.

We visited for Sunday dinner for the first time it didn’t disappoint. Beef and Turkey dinners went down a treat with a pint of Moretti a glass of Pinot. Both meats were tender juicy and the portion size plentiful. Staff were also lovely.
