Niko's Tavern - St. Charles

First time since new owners opened. Calamari appetizer was excellent. Home made salad dressing..saayy whAAAt!!?? Would recommend the ribs AND the garlic and butter greenbeans. Maddy gave great service, and Chaz came over to make sure everything was cool. Keep it up guys, and you will do well here! Highly recommend.

Nothing to write home about. A $14 very berry salad with strawberries not ripe enough to serve. Chicken breast was dry and only 4 strips. It looked big, but looks can deceive. Just not a good value AT ALL in my opinion... saw a few other plates go out and not impressed with the looks either. I won 't go back...

You need to seat people in your overflow area. You attract local- repeat customers that will spread the word and not support your business. Remember many have come before you at this location and failed- went across the street to Old Town and had a great meal- as always. Two thumbs down Niko's!!

Sadly the over under is 6 months... Food Pub food was lacking big time. If it's sandwiches why can't they be great or even good? Chicken sandwich lacked flavor, buffalo wrap was ok, meatball sub was ok. I don't think the meatballs are homemade. Fries aren't fresh cut but something frozen. Service was excellent. Please be successful and try something new! We like our grub out here and don't need another old town.

My first Niko's Tavern experience was with a larger group. Our server was attentive and pleasant, and able to answer a lot of questions that we had about the menu as newbies. I ordered a sandwich, and subbed in the cheese curds because that sounded amazing. Sadly the cheese curds were not excellent- but my sandwich was quite delicious. This place desperately needs a cocktail menu- I was so sad that wasn't an option. Overall, I thought the food was decent, service was great, and the atmosphere was good too. I would certainly return!
