Sawmill Prime Rib Steak House (south Edmonton)

This is the best steak I've ever tasted! Don't pay attention to the one-star reviews; those folks were either too inebriated to appreciate their meal or simply trying to stir up trouble. When someone like me, a farm boy who knows how to cut his own meat, claims this steak is the best, you know it's really something special. And don't miss the buffet! I've only tried it once, but it blew away the offerings at the McDonald Hotel and LaRonde. Honestly, this is the best steak you'll ever have!

We celebrated our 50th anniversary on October 15, 2016, with a family gathering of 12. We began the evening with platters of mixed appetizers that were absolutely delicious. Everyone selected their meals from the menu, which included steak, lobster, ribs, chicken, and seafood. Every single person was thrilled with their dish and still talks about it. The service was the best I've ever encountered. We had two incredibly attentive waiters who took care of our every need while remaining unobtrusive. The only downside of the evening was that our private room, The Chardonnay, was located up a long flight of stairs, making it difficult for seniors to navigate when they needed to use the restroom. The upstairs bathroom was not available to us until halfway through the night. Overall, it was a wonderful evening that we will cherish as a precious memory. The brunch and service were absolutely fantastic! I will definitely return. My servers were attentive but not intrusive, making sure our coffee cups and mimosa glasses were always full. It was the perfect spot to celebrate my birthday.

Really exceptional service by our server,Jeffery. My filet mignon was grilled perfectly. My husband absolutely enjoyed the buffet. Sunday evening place to go for a no dishes treat. Will be back
