Hong Kong Chinese - Spring Hill

I typically don't write reviews, but this place deserves some recognition. I work nearby and usually just grab something from Publix, but I've noticed this restaurant a few times and became curious. I checked the reviews and saw a lot of negative comments about the food, which almost deterred me from trying it. However, I decided to give it a chance, and I'm glad I did. The sesame chicken lunch special I ordered was fantastic—consistently crispy all the way through, and the sauce was delicious. The rice was much better than the reviews suggested. I recommend trying it for yourself and not relying on the negative feedback. The portion size was a bit smaller, but still satisfying, making it a decent medium-sized lunch special.

I really miss the previous owners; their food was consistently excellent and always fresh! Unfortunately, the new owners don't measure up, although their son is a really nice young man. I ordered sweet and sour shrimp, and when my wife and I sat down to eat, I discovered that the breading on the shrimp was raw inside. I even have a picture of it. I immediately took it back to the restaurant, and the young man showed the cook the raw breading. The cook reacted by yelling in Chinese about something irrelevant. The young man returned to me with a refund, and I felt bad for him because he was very apologetic. I kept reassuring him that it wasn't his fault. Unfortunately, there seem to be constant issues with my orders, and I’ve decided I’m done with this place. The cook shouldn't have shouted at the young man; if there's an issue, he should come to the counter and address it himself. In comparison, Panda Express offers much better food, customer service, and respect. I really hope they open a location nearby soon.

The restaurant may be small, but the food is consistently fresh. The owners are wonderful as well!

Absolutely the best food in the area! I got takeout for dinner, and the price was around $20–30 per person. Both the food and service were outstanding, earning a solid 5 stars across the board, including the atmosphere. I highly recommend trying the Sweet and Sour Chicken!
