Akaihi - Spring

Stopped in for lunch today. The place felt dingy when we walked in, we were sat in a booth with the upholstery torn to shreds. Upon sitting my daughter noticed several dead roaches on the floor under our table... we brought this to the attention of the waiter and promptly left the restaurant.

Portions so much smarter now for the orange chicken plate and it doesn’t come with the crab cakes and spring roll?

Akaihi Sushi and Hibachi is really a shining star amongst sushi restaurants in Houston. They have a very impressive menu full of sushi rolls that are actually loaded with FISH and not cheap fillers (cucumber, shrimp tempura) that other Houston sushi joints will try and sell you. The rolls are reasonably priced for how big they are. They definitely don’t skimp you on the fish portions in the rolls, either. LOVE this place!!!

Love coming here for the hibachi grill. Good value at least at lunch. We've had the beef, chicken, and shrimp and all were delicious. Dietary restrictions: No issue accommodating gluten sensitivities.
