Sherman's Taphouse - SOUTHINGTON

We've visited Sherman’s numerous times and have introduced many of our friends to this fantastic spot. We're thrilled they're back open! Chef Dan is fantastic, and we really enjoy the menu. Tonight, we took some friends from out of state for dinner. The beer selection is always intriguing, featuring both unique options and classic favorites. The ladies chose drinks from the cocktail menu, and I thoroughly enjoyed the Carnival Mule with caramel vodka. Each couple shared a grilled chicken sandwich, which was topped with delicious apple bacon chutney, and a classic burger cooked to a perfect medium rare. The highlight of the meal was definitely the Kentucky Dry Rub wings—they were outstanding! Stephanie provided excellent service, and we appreciate everyone who checked in on us throughout the evening. If you haven't been to Sherman’s yet, be sure to give it a try!

I used to visit this restaurant frequently before it closed, and this was my first time back since they reopened. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning. The food is decent, but the service was terrible, and the drinks were poorly made. It took 30 minutes to get someone to address the issue that our Moscow Mule drinks were missing ginger beer, only to be told we were mistaken. I think we know when a Moscow Mule lacks ginger beer—it's quite a distinctive ingredient. There are too many other excellent places nearby to waste my time and money here. It’s disappointing because this place was fantastic before.

I tried their three taco deal, and it was delicious! My favorite was definitely the steak, but all of them were fantastic! The staff were very friendly as well. I’ll definitely be coming back regularly!

Great music. Very friendly staff. I loved the Salmon Fritters! I will be back for them. They have a pretty good tequila selection IMO.

We came in for our first visit and sat at the bar and had a lovely conversation with the owner. They have SO many different beers on tap and the food is delicious!!! The Mac and cheeses with brisket is my FAVORITE! I will definitely be back and will be bringing friends. It is a MUST visit place in a great location.
