Bidrage med feedbackI went to the wine bar for dinner on a Saturday night with 5 friends. We ordered cocktails, drinks, entrees, and mains. Some drinks and entrees came out, but a main dish arrived unexpectedly while we were still waiting for the rest. We asked them to hold off on serving the main until everything was ready. After an hour of waiting, we inquired about our main dishes and the remaining entrees. The staff blamed the delay on the upstairs being busy, but we were paying the same price for food as those upstairs. When our mains and the remaining entrees finally arrived, one main dish was missing and they said it would be another 30 minutes without offering any compensation. We decided to cancel that meal, and they kindly refunded us for it. Overall, the service was very poor, with drinks being placed on the wrong end of the table and delays in food service. The restaurant needs to improve its table service or reconsider offering food at the wine bar. The food itself was delicious, but the service was disappointing. It's a shame because the potential is there.
This is one of the premier venues. Attentive but not pushy staff looked after us well. My rib fillet was the best I had in Australia. The shared lamb and the duck were equally well received. The only downside was the kingfish entree. Was the size of a $2 coin. Leave well alone.

The food was delicious and beautifully presented. I hope to see permanent vegan options added to the menu in the future.

On the day of our dinner reservation, Bridgewater unexpectedly canceled our booking. It seemed like they were overbooked as we were told we could not dine in the restaurant and had to eat in the bar instead. The woman at the reception did not apologize and claimed she had called earlier to inform me of the change, which was not true as I showed her my phone record with no missed call. She then said she must have had the wrong number. It was frustrating that someone would have to call to tell me I couldn't dine in the restaurant on the day of my reservation. I was dining with three friends and had planned for this evening meal to be my contribution to the weekend.
