I ordered four servings of haddock and chips. One of the haddock fillets had a strange taste, but they kindly replaced it. Unfortunately, the chips were disappointing—too soft and with an odd sweetness. When we asked for new chips, we were informed that they could replace them, but they would be the same due to the type of potato and the time of year. I've never had such unappetizing chips; the local chip shop manages to serve perfect ones at this time of year, so there's no excuse. The restaurant did reduce our final bill, but it didn't make up for the overall disappointing meal. We won’t be coming back.

It would have been great if the restaurant had been OPEN. The trip to South Queensferry ended up being a waste of time. I’m confused as to why I could book a farewell dinner for our foreign guests at a CLOSED restaurant on the website. Both our guests and we were left feeling very disappointed.
