Laguna Bob - South Padre Island

We were in town for the week, I think we ended up here at least once a day. Laid back, good drinks, live music, and the best ceviche in SPI, prob the best we ever had.

Nice place for a few drinks and some food while listening to live music. We visited on a Friday night and it wasn’t very crowded. They have a limited food menu but I think people come here for drinks and ambiance. They have a full bar and several mixed drink options. It is located on the bay side of south Padre Island, so it was nice to sit by the water. The wife and I shared a 10pc fried shrimp basket original style and enjoyed it with a couple of vodka/sodas. Other people in our party had the blt and the cheese burgers and they were happy with their food.

My spouse and I recently got married and decided to spend our honeymoon in South Padre. We stopped by this restaurant for drinks and a snack. The bartender, Karsten, was very helpful and friendly. He suggested a drink for me when I couldn't decide. We also ordered the cheese fries, which were delicious. We enjoyed the live music that was playing as well. Overall, this place really made our night special!

Nice place to sit back, relax, and listen to live music. I was a little disappointed with the drinks. They seemed watered down and felt like I was drinking Kool-Aid or a punch. The food was good, but they need to change up or add to the menu. Same items from my last visit 2 years ago.

Laguna BOB is the perfect place for a casual and fun night out. The clientele tends to be older, but they definitely know how to have a good time, especially with the cheesy techno remixes adding to the lively atmosphere. There's no need to dress up; just come as you are and get ready to relax and enjoy the quirky music selection. It's a great spot to unwind without feeling the need to conform to the more upscale atmosphere of uptown.
