Bidrage med feedbackWe stumbled upon a charming tea shop with friendly service. The cheese scone, warmed in the microwave, was delicious. However, the sausage roll, also warmed in the microwave, was very greasy and would have been better cold. Both items seemed to be homemade. We opted out of ordering cake as there were only two options available, and the price of £14 for two choices would have been disappointing. Unfortunately, our table had a view of the kitchen where we witnessed unsanitary practices. A staff member sorted through the bin without washing his hands, then proceeded to handle cutlery and take orders without proper hygiene. Despite the quaint appearance of the tea shop, we will not be returning due to concerns about their hygiene practices. It is recommended that they review and improve their hygiene standards promptly.
I absolutely adore The Old Copper Kettle. Tracy is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and I just love her. Their sausage rolls are hands down the best I have ever tasted. The pastry is perfectly flaky and the sausage meat is bursting with flavor. I regret not getting two of them because I ended up eating most of it myself, sorry Jasper. Today, I grabbed mine to-go for a dog walk, but you can also bring your furry friend inside. There's even a comfy chair in the conservatory where you could easily nod off. I highly recommend this place, especially when Tracy is working.
I had another fantastic light lunch at The Old Copper Kettle. The Tomato Chorizo Soup was amazing, especially with the Soup Sandwich deal. The hosts, Graham and Tracy, were lovely as always and made me feel very welcome. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area, or even making a special trip to visit!
Visited here for an afternoon tea with a group of friends. It’s really nice inside, quaint and kind of oldy worldy with items for sale. Tiny little china cups and plates. Staff were attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Tea was replenished each time we asked. The food was very nice and lots of it. I would definitely recommend the old copper kettle. Personally I would have preferred one piece of the home made cake instead of the small varying cakes on offer but maybe that’s me being greedy.
Went here today with hubby, ordered at about 11.45 , so only breakfast menu available, after ordering a bit later was told there is a delay on food as they were busy, why not at time of ordering they didn't say would you like to order from lunch menu , as got food at about 12.15 waiter drop off food than was gone, not asking if we needed anything, ie I needed brown sauce none on table, its an ok place but wouldn't rush back !!
