Odd Fellows Tavern - South Berwick

I have to say the only 2 times I was there, it was horrible. First, I ordered a pizza to go, granted they were busy, but when I got it home, it was burnt. Literally, the cheese was hard and black bubbles. It took so long I never ordered a replacement. Inedible. The second time I went in for happy hour and got a margarita for my birthday. The bartender put the total of the bill as a tip, charging me double, I had given her 20%. When I noticed it on my credit statement, the manager (who after 1/2 hr someone finally picked up the phone) said she couldn’t do anything about it and the owner had the next 5 days off. He called after that, leaving a message for a partial refund. Not even the amount I authorized, so I’m still trying to get ahold of him. Obviously they’re short staffed and incompetent all the way around. Shocked at all the 4.25 stars….

Absolutely the best pizza in the area! I live in Portsmouth and decided to stop by here after a day of golfing in Maine. The wings, pizza, and salad were all simply outstanding. I rate everything a perfect 5 stars. There’s nothing in Portsmouth that can compare. Food: 5, Service: 5, Atmosphere: 5.

We ordered fried pickles, spinach and artichoke dip, and boneless wings. The breading on the pickles was almost chewy, and the chips that accompanied the dip were stale. To top it off, we paid $17 for a dozen boneless wings, but nearly half of them were burnt. I expected better quality for that price. Thankfully, we had a gift card to soften the blow.

The ambiance was tidy and well-maintained, although the music playing was slightly too loud. The food was absolutely delicious, and the waitress was both friendly and attentive. I will certainly return.
