We came down and had a drink and something to eat ! Very welcome I will say. It was late pm) but we had the choise of several things besides desserts and drinks. Service was ok, view out the window great. Food and drink...came quickly and we enjoyed. The climb up the volcano was hard for an old man, but worth it. There was a panorama of the mountains in Switzerland, Germany and Austria. The Bodensee (Untersee) was in fog. Ha Ha.

Der Fernblick ist phantastisch, das Essen gut. Wir waren am frühen Abend auf der Rückreise von einem Kurzurlaub hier. Das Restaurant wird von Touristen, so wie wir, besucht und das spiegelt sich im Essen. Es war kein Highlight aber durchaus zufriedenstellend, jedoch für das Gebotene etwas zu teuer. Einmal Filetsteak, einmal Rumpsteak Ladys Cut. Beides mal Medium bestellt, einmal fast durch einmal eher englisch geliefert. Die Qualität des Rindfleischs war allerdings in Ordnung.

Wir waren mit einer Wandergruppe zur Einkehr im Restaurant Hohentwiel. Von der Terrasse aus hat man einen wunderschönen Blick die Stadt Singen und den Hegau.Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Das Essen war nicht so mein Geschmack. Die angebotene „Kürbis-Orangensuppe vom Hokkaido-Kürbis mit Räucherfischstreifen“ war gewöhnungsbedürftig.Das Beste ist die sehr schöne Umschreibung!!Beim Hauptgericht ein „HEGAU-Wok“ mit Streifen von Rind- und Schweinefleisch“ fehlte der „Pfiff“, wie man es von solchen asiatischen Gerichten kennt.
