Osteria Il Grattacielo - SIENA

My boyfriend and I had heard about this restaurant through the internet and thought we would try it out. When we had arrived there was one other table seated and the server was going to refuse us as we had no reservation but then she ended up accommodating us anyway, which was nice. This restaurant does not have a menu, they verbally list a few items for you to choose from. My boyfriends pasta was still cold and hard, mine was a 6/10. The house wine was delicious! I would still recommend for you to try out the experience for yourselves!

A “hole in the wall” place with amazing home-made dishes like you are visiting your grandmothers house. Start with the “cold plate” of Tuscan antipasti and try any of their hot dishes. We had the beef stew—unbelievably good! I love this place, my favorite restaurant in Siena. It’s not fancy, it’s rustic and amazing.

Spend a few more and head elsewhere. Small bowl of soggy pasta with just okay sauce. House wine UGH ! Worst lunch in 2 weeks in Tuscany !!

Vivamente consigliata una sosta in questa osteria per apprezzare i piatti tipici toscani cucinati con maestria. Una nota di merito alle pappardelle al ragù di cinta senese.
