くりっこ Wū Guǒ Zi Diàn

I heard that they have opened a new location from the station. The restaurant has been in business for about 50 years, and the young man running it is the third generation. I hope they continue to preserve the taste of Yamada's specialty despite the disaster. The "karinto" snacks they offer come in both white and black swirls, reminiscent of the sea in Sanriku. The texture is crispy and light, different from traditional karinto. The best in Yamada! The "dorayaki" is filled with sweet red bean paste, which is also delicious. They are available in local supermarkets, but I would recommend purchasing them at the restaurant.

I visited this restaurant for the first time a few months ago. In addition to squid senbei, miso bread, and karinto, there are several types of dorayaki available. When I asked about the differences in dorayaki, the staff kindly explained to me. The gentle taste seemed to reflect the personality of the staff. I think it would make a great souvenir as well. I really liked the chewy dorayaki. I will definitely visit again!
