Restaurante O Gato - Serpa

We had an excellent experience at this restaurant. We wandered in, not knowing what to expect. The food was delicious, we had the soup of the day and shared lamb chops and the ragu between four of us. Meat was very tender and tasty! The...service was friendly and efficient and we had a delicious jug of wine for The desserts were yummy too!

We ate there tipical food and it was very good a very nice price. we ate meat with egg on the top. very common dish here in Porugal. ..and very good. they are also kind people and the restaurant is very clean

The place is quite anonymous from the exterior but it is defintely worth a visit. O Gato is a nice restaurant that serves typical food from the Alentejano district. Specialties are petisques and seafood, but all food on the menu is tasty. I am travelling...to Serpa on regular basis and I am always impressed about the food, the great service and the nice atmosphere at O Gato. I would strongly recommend a stop by this restaurant if you are close by. Bring your travel dictionary because the english skills are relatively limited.

We got the only unreserved table in this small family-run restaurant in the centre of Serpa. The menu is quite short but the food was very good and with it there is good value local wines.

Great food, pleasant service in a little neighborhood hole-in-the-wall Mom & Pop restaurant. The decor is minimal, but the food is good, and not at all expensive. About €10 per person for a good dinner (without drinks). Very good value for money.
