J&t's Family Cafe - Scotia

I visited for the first time, and although every table was occupied, I only had to wait a minute. The waitress greeted me warmly, and the atmosphere was very relaxed. I ordered the chili cheese omelette, which was outstanding. The side of biscuits and gravy was also delicious and was substantial enough to be a meal on its own. The decaf coffee was just right as well. I can’t wait to return!

J.T.'s Family Cafe offered an amazing experience. The owners truly go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The Philly peppers and cheese wrap was outstanding, and the coffee was hot and fresh. As their sign says, when you're here, you're treated like family. Thank you for a great visit; I will definitely be back!

The staff and chefs are wonderful—they quickly feel like family. The other customers are friendly too, creating a welcoming atmosphere that's perfect for enjoying a delicious meal and sharing a few laughs, whether it’s before work or to kick off the weekend. Every dish tastes like it was made by your grandmother with love. The daily specials are always fresh and exciting, but their regular menu is fantastic too, especially at such great prices. If you love soup during the colder months, don’t bother going anywhere else. Even if you’re not a local, the trip is definitely worth it—I can almost guarantee you’ll become a regular just like us. Thank you, J&T's, for being amazing and saving me from cooking a few nights a week!

This is a fantastic little spot! The comfort food is served in just the right portions—enough to satisfy without being overwhelming. The staff is friendly and supportive, especially towards military and frontline workers (which I am proud to be). The prices are excellent as well; we spent around $25 for lunch for two. I will definitely be returning!

I've been here twice—once for breakfast and once for dinner. The breakfast was fantastic! It was bustling that morning, but everything went smoothly. Our group had four people, including two small children. I also tried the burgers for dinner. It was less crowded then, and there were only two of us in the party. The burger was excellent, while the fries were your typical diner fries—nothing extraordinary—but the macaroni salad and homemade chips were quite tasty. The staff was friendly and attentive, although the place could have been cleaner. It might have been due to the late hour, as they seemed a bit overwhelmed with the cleaning. Overall, I give it five stars because, among local diners, this one is definitely a cut above the rest!
