Armbruster Cafe - Schutterwald

Nice little cafe in the main market place. Very friendly staff. Menus are all in German, no English translation. This did not bother us as the staff were able to translate.

I would like to have bought a coffee cup with the label Armbruster. Name guarantees quality.

Arrival here early Thursday morning 9 am for Offenburger Flohmarkt Offenburg Flea market. While waiting for the market to open completely, this beautiful café only found at the Endecke street. Sat outside overlooking the flea market and enjoyed a nice good cup of coffee and a freshly baked salmon bread Salmon Sandwich. The coffee was only 1.70 € and salmon bread for 2,50 €.... incredibly convenient for the appearance of Armbruster Cafe. The ordering staff was efficient and even changed my sandwich from Kiri to Lachsbrot with a smile. It was my fault... I apologize! You probably have to pay the price triple for the same type of breakfast over the border to Switzerland. The café is very clean and good energy environment. If you are in the Offenburg Flea market, just take a right direction H

NB this review relates to the very new Armbruster on Kronenplatz, not the one on Burdastrasse! A really nice place to get some breakfast, a very short walk from town and convenient for the new B&B Hotel just around the corner. Ate breakfast/brunch here...several times over the last few days, and with the exception of one very surly lady the service was great my German is almost non-existent, as is the staff's English, but we got by with some terrible attempts at each other's language and a lot of pointing! Nice coffee, delicious pastries and cakes, and a very pleasant outdoor area to sit and enjoy them which doesn't feel as near as it actually is to a pretty busy road.

Lovely newly built cafe and bakery the quality and freshness of food is top class. It is self service which is a bit confusing as they have menus on the tables. We had coffee and a sandwich instead of a proper breakfast as the service...was very slow and there was definitely some tension between the two girls with nose rings who were serving. But it was very good and it is situated in what will be some very nice housing when finished.
