Cafe 3 Eight Nine - Scarborough

A great place to have a delicious breakfast or coffee by the beach. Amazing food and service.

This has expanded and is now bigger and licensed, so they are open for dinner nowLovely view to the beach as the restaurant is all open.

As an out-of-town "Yank" visiting, this was a lovely first experience of the area.

Went for breakfast sunday morning with a bunch of friends. Some of us order 5 minutes before the others and then the rest of us ordered. The first few of us that orrdered first got their meals very quickly. The rest of us sat their for 30 minutes before we got up to see where our food was. None of the staff could find our order, 10 minutes later our order was taken again. We waited, someone else came to double check our orders. 3 out of 4 of us got our correct meals soon after they were taken twice since we questioned where the food was. The forth meal was then clarified once again and 10 minutes later it came out. The staff told us it was a communication error with the printer, but our table was the only table that didnt recieve our meals. More than just a printer error? I think they just lost our whole order!!

Went here for breakfast 3 mornings in a row and the food was so nice. Only on the last morning was my egg not runny and was dry which was a bummer as every other morning the food & coffee was spot on. My son said the spaghetti on toast was delish mum!
