The Basin - Saratoga

Permanently closed since May 15th. That's sad I didn't get to return one last time. I wonder why.

The restaurant is small but charming. The food is decent, though not exceptional. We visited as a group, and the waitstaff were excellent—very attentive and enthusiastic about suggesting drinks. The menu is somewhat limited, but it's not bad; however, it doesn't quite live up to some of the hype. We sampled nearly everything on the menu, but nothing stood out as particularly noteworthy. We also enjoyed the desserts and ordered several bottles of wine. While none of the wines were particularly impressive, they were on the pricier side. Overall, it’s an improvement over a typical family restaurant, but it doesn't compare to more upscale dining options. It's a great place to hang out, especially since it tends to be lively and bustling.

The Berkshire Pork Chop was the best I’ve ever had. It's so unfortunate that this restaurant closed permanently just a day after our visit. We will truly miss it.

We had our rehearsal dinner here on the oak patio, and it was AMAZING. The team was super supportive leading up to our event, and really made the night special. They accommodated all of our requests, as half the group was vegetarian/pescatarian, and even early dessert! I knew the food was fantastic, but they went above and beyond with decorating the space, custom printed menus, arranging a special order of fresh trout. We opted to let our guests order off the drink menu a la carte, and had only rave reviews for their creative cocktails. Highly recommend the trout, the bread pudding, and the fantastic team here!!

Absolutely, love The Basin and recommend checking it out! We had gone for HH yesterday, great HH and of course, got a few starters off the regular menu, too. The spicy margarita is spicy, but the girls loved the spiciness! Everything was delicious and the outside seating was perfect for this group. We celebrated one of the girl's birthday. I had no idea how many were coming, but Javier, our server was the best! He was very accommodating and let us just add some chairs. It was a loud bunch and I felt bad for anyone around us! The nice folks behind us had kids and they said they were glad to see us having fun! Thanks Javier and The Basin for making our evening so great and fun!
