Fiddlehead Bistro (the) - Saranac Lake

Hands down the best meal we had in Saranac. The restaurant has excellent ambience and fantastic service, the wine list is good, but the food was absolutely incredible. Would absolutely recommend it.

Service was satisfactory . Menu was eclectic and overdone with cute flourishes. But we found everything overpriced for the portions served. No gluten free crackers or bread. Ratatouille skimpy, and cheeseplate scant of cheese and overburdened with sweet walnuts and honey. Save your hard-earned money on this one.

So good! So welcoming. Good fantastic. Can't wait to sit on the back porch. Service is friendly, gets busy after 7 so go early if you don't like noise.

What a nice evening! The owner is very friendly and loves to chat with her guests. The Arancini was remarkable and the cheese plate was outstanding. I ordered the salmon with the smoked salmon ravioli on the side and it was spectacular. My wife ordered the chicken vindaloo and it was spicy and scrumptious.

Perfect location on the banks of the river. Dessert was spectacular! Wonderful environment inside. Pricey, but worth it for a special occasion.
