Demore's Offshore Grill - Sandusky

The perch I got was NOT Lake Erie perch. DO NOT go here. Service is horrendous. Oil is usually old. Just nasty.

Had dinner at this quaint little place. The atmosphere was very low key. We got the crabby hushpuppies for an appetizer (pictured below, after devoring the 3 of the four sized nicely hushpuppies) would definitely recommend. My husband and I both order the perch shrimp dinner. Both got the crispy Brussels sprouts (a little over done for our taste), I got the garlic mashed potatoes for the 2nd side, those tasted fantastic. My husband got the casear salad for his 2nd side, tasted very fresh. Both perch and shrimp were very tasty even my son said how good it was. My son got the crab shrimp quesadilla and absolutely loved it! They were decently busy so there was a little wait to get our food but would recommend this place if your in the area.

Food was not the best. If you have a Philly steak sandwhich and don't have mushrooms you should let the person know when they order it. Don't bring it out without it and not say a word. You brought it out later when I asked but it was only like 5 shriveled up pieces. My fiancee and I both got diarrhea from our food there and was sick the whole next day. My fiancee said his perch sandwhich tasted like it was sitting out for a while and was not good. A couple people in my party said the crab legs had barely no meat on them and was still hungry when they left. Also don't just assume I'm sharing my food with everyone at the table. My fiancee got hush puppies with his sandwhich and you brought them out beforehand and put in the middle of the table and gave him french fries with his sandwhich which he didn't ask for.

Honestly amazing experience; We ordered the raspberry lemon drop martini and the raspberry bourbon to start. Both drinks were very good tasting and had a great amount of alcohol especially for the price. We then ordered the the seafood nachos for the starter and enjoyed it very much, it was loaded up of seafood and had great flavor (especially the pico de gallo) some of the cheese was not melted but we got there close to closing so it’s understandable. I ordered the Shrimp Dinner (grilled) and was very happy with both the serving size and the flavor/quality. I think it came with about 7 or 8 shrimp and for my 2 sides I got the fries and the Caesar salad the fries were really tasty and so was the salad. My mother got the lobster bisque, which had a very good amount of chunks of lobster, when looking at the other reviews I spotted one that said the lobster bisque had chunks of tomato in it which is not true, it only has lobster in it. It was topped with Parmesan not mozzarella which was also claimed in the review i mentioned. Overall my mother thought it was flavorful and very nice with complementing flavors in it, it was not too acidic like the other review says. My mother also got the jalapeño poppers which were very fresh when they came out and much larger than expected, they were filled up nicely with cream cheese and cheddar cheese. My father got the Offshore Burger which was juicy and cooked perfectly and had an ample of their crab dip on it which went wonderfully along with the flavors of the burger. He also mentioned how the size of the burger was really good, he got the loaded coleslaw on the side which came with bacon pieces and shredded cheese on top. He thought that even though it was an odd combination the bacon and cheese complemented the sweetness of the coleslaw quite well. We arrived quite close to closing and despite that the server we had was still very sweet and patient with us, honestly hats off to her since we took quite a while to decide on what we wanted. Above all we had an amazing experience and will be looking forward to coming back at some point, which is a considerable compliment because we live in Columbus. As a collective we agree that the seafood nachos are the best food we had and we are still thinking about them and how good and fresh they were now.

Very clean and friendly staff. We wanted seafood and this restaurant didn't disappoint.
