Dough Zone Dumpling House - San Mateo

You can't go wrong with any of the dumplings, potstickers or wontons at Dough Zone; they're all really tasty and have a good dough to filling ratio. My personal favorites are the Fried Wonton w/ Chili Sauce, Berkshire-Duroc Pork Shrimp Pot Stickers, and Berkshire-Duroc Pork Wonton w/ Chili Sauce.

The Q-Bao buns are to die for: moist and flavorful! Loved the pan fried chive dumplings, they arrived crispy at my home! The Dan Dan Noodles have a hot punch to it! Will re-order!

My wife didn't love this spot. She said that it wasn't very traditional (like lettuce and pickle in the pork bao sandwich). I enjoyed it quite a bit, though it came at a pretty steep cost. Right around $200 for four people, though we could have ordered slightly less food and been fine. The bowls of Dan Dan noodles are TINY. Lots of flavor, but a bit small. The beef rolls were pretty good, as were the pan fried buns. XLB were standard nothing to write homeabout. Location is great for strolling around downtown. Would recommend.

Soup dumplings were solid! Other dishes were ok ???????? nothing to spectacular but overall a decent place to grab some dumplings if you have the craving. Ordering is done via your phone though toast which makes it nice and easy.

I’ve been to many dough zone locations and this one is the worst. The staff are very inexperienced and rude. Ordered take out and I asked two different staff to check on my order and both told me it’s not ready. I waited another 20minutes during which time no one checked on me. when I finally asked another staff and my order has been ready and sitting there the whole time. I’d recommend avoid this location especially during busy lunch or dinner times.
