Sundried Tomato - San Juan Capistrano

Terrible service!!! We dined as a family of 4. There were 2 tables on our patio. We were seated, then 10 minutes later the other table was seated. Another 15 went by and the table next to us were served water and orders taken as we continued to sit there. I finally asked if someone could help us and our incredibly rude server showed up after another 10 minutes. Food was meh. Server was MIA until the end as we waited and waited for a check. Then she was picking up the plates from the table next to us and literally launched a bowl of ketchup that exploded and landed everywhere near us. She barely gave it a second thought and as I was cleaning ketchup off of my shirt, she casually said, “oh, did I get you?”. No apology, nobody came to clean it up and still waited 20 more minutes for our bill. Insane! Will not be back. Too many great dining options in SJC to waste time and money here.

We were seated outside immediately and the staff were very kind. However, it became very busy soon after and they were overwhelmed. There was a singer who was so incredibly loud that it was hard to have a conversation as all the guests had to shout to be heard. The food came late and the vegetable frittata was dry and overcooked. They offered salsa but did not bring it until after we finished. They were kind enough to give us dessert on the house but we will not go there for brunch again.

Great food. Had fish tacos with truffle fries. Delicious.

My husband and I had dinner( get away weekend). Our waitress was great and responsive and food was very good overall. But the person running to food to the tables served our dinner to the wrong table. We knew right away because it was the food we ordered (me steak; husband halibut) and the other people said they ordered steak but also salmon. I was specific on how I wanted my steak cooked and told the waitress that we thought our dinners were given to another table... the woman at the other table also questioned the cook on her steak. So they brought our dinners and my steak was not cooked right. Husband ate his dinner while I waited. Then I ate after. We appreciate that the restaurant took off our drinks from the bill because of the mix up. That was good of them. But the whole thing kind of spoiled the evening. Finally, I'm not a fan of paper on top of white table cloths although I know it cuts down on costs for the restaurant and maybe is OK at lunch. But for the price of dinner etc I want a better dining experience than paper covering the table.
