Awesome Hotel - San Jose del Monte

This restaurant was always good but is becoming great. The service has dramatically improved as well as the food as the staff has matured and new chefs have settled in. We always make it a point to stop here when in the area for business or the surf scene. All the seafood is excellent and always super fresh. The owners are focused on improvement all the time. We are excited to have this jewel in the Province

First of all, I want to start by saying, we eat out a lot. 5 to 10 meals per week. So we are very discerning, were good food is concerned. And finding good food, here in the Philippines, is next to impossible. No one cares. Sad, but true, that is the overwhelming truth here. People are often seen wearing t-shirts that say - I don't care. Indifference is the order of the day. So, when eating out, one is often confronted with waitstaff, that just do not care. So when I come across a restaurant that is not like that, I feel compelled to write about it.Awsesome Hotel is the exception, rather than the rule. The rule is, staff that are too busy on their cell phones to take care of me...not so here...the staff was very attentive and quick, always watching to see if I need anything.Another rule is, no one cares about quality of food. Not so here...the pork steak I had was juicy and tender and tasty. They had obviously chosen their meat supplier carefully, because mostly the pork here has a bad taste. The fried chicken my children had, was four drumsticks, coated with tasty crispy coating that they just loved. And a four drumsticks per serving, it was perfect little meal for kids. My wife had the Grilled Tiger Prawns, and she raved about it all the way home. Beer was always ice cold, and service water, (I asked about purification), was purified on site...they have their own water purification and ice making facility second to none. Over all, I could not find one complaint..and I am known as a complainer! I will not talk about price, because to me, one of the best things in life is good food, and I never mind paying, when the food is perfect. When I pay a lot for bad or mediocre food....look out!

With exception to 5* hotels in Manila, the majority of restaurants in Luzon lack even the most basic aspects of culinary expectations. All too often we have experienced, dismal decors ,tatty furniture, third rate tableware, poor or non - existent service, dreadful WC's and to conclude, unimaginative low quality, poorly presented food.Having read the reviews on the Awesome Hotel we decided to 'give it a go' and see if our bad experiences could be overcome. On entering the restaurant, we were immediately reassured that this establishment would meet our discerning standards.Undoubtedly, this restaurant was set up to satisfy the needs of the cosmopolitan diner ( most Filipino restaurants cannot cater for Westerners needs). From the moment you are seated it is apparent from the high quality tableware, cutlery, dining ware, furniture, and ambience that this establishment has gone to considerable lengths to offer something special.The menu is both comprehensive, and varied. No matter which country you originate from, USA, UK, Germany, Korea, Japan, etc. there is something on the menu to cater for you.It would be impossible not to be able to find a meal for even the fussiest of diners. We did not partake in ordering wine, however like the menu the wine list was diverse and comprehensive.When we were served our food it was obvious that the chef had used finest, fresh, ingredients available. The taste was only matched by the superb presentation. Clearly the chef had thought about not only producing the food but its presentation. We are not food 'snobs' however to us the presentation defines an exceptional restaurant from a very good one.On a final note, despite the high quality and finesse the cost of the meal was not exceptional. It was very good value. Raffles, The Marriot, Shangri La, take note ! The Awesome restaurant ticks all the boxes.

Went there with my family and it was my first time there. The food here are great and very reasonably priced. Surf and turf was a hit for me, my kids loved their pizza, quesadillas and shanghai. My hubby got the rib eye steak and ordered a sushi boat for us all.Even the merlot they serve is great. Service is great and the staff are very helpful. I would definitely go back to this place...soon.

Me and the Mrs decided to take a short break away from the city and found this place. The room was really clean and fresh, the staff were so polite and accommodating and the food was just perfect. I must of ordered the Great Japanese Sushi boat 3 times in the 2 days we were there it was that good. We will be back again soon for sure for another cheeky break. Thanks
