The Mill - San Francisc

Nice cafe and I think one of the best options in the area. The service is very friendly and everything was delicious, although the food (toast and portion of blueberry) is nothing out of this world. It is big and the atmosphere is very nice.

Costly for what you get, no silverware, very crowded. Would do well for some people, just not for me

Cute place with friendly but possibly overworked staff. So overrun by groups of people working together on laptops on a beautiful Saturday !!! morning !!! that it was hard to relax; impossible to find a seat, yes, but also just not the vibe I was looking for on a Saturday! Coffee was great, pastries were ok skip the poppyseed-chocolate babka; very bitter the flavors don’t go together

I went to The Mill after seeing some super cute pics online, but the real deal was a total letdown. I ordered a chocolate croissant that came out cold, and they wouldn’t even heat it up for me??? not an option. The place was a bit of a mess too—dirty tables and seats. It was bad, customers were wiping down their own spots (I did wipe mine as well). Not exactly what you’d expect after dropping $11 on a coffee and pastry, right? Honestly, it may look great on Instagram, but the actual vibe and service were a major bummer. Safe to say, I won’t be going back.

Quintessentially hipster San Francisco. Good coffee, great bread from Josie Baker Bread, and sunlight lit space.
