Sushi Ota - San Diego

Some of the best sushi I've had in ages. The quality of the fish is absolutely top notch. Friendly atmosphere with great service.

This restaurant is outstanding in every aspect. The food and service were both exceptional. I enjoy sake but am not knowledgeable about ordering it. Our server provided me with a fantastic, reasonably priced recommendation. The chef's choice nigiri was flawless. I highly suggest adding some fresh wasabi to your order - the portion is generous for a small additional cost. I look forward to returning on my next visit to San Diego!

Service was amazing and she was very kind. I will say, the sushi does not live up to the hype. We got the chef’s choice nigiri, and the quality was alright (texture a bit chewy and not so fresh). The spicy salmon roll was delicious though! Overall, we wouldn’t come back but glad we tried it out

The fish was so bland… maybe it was a bad night but it was so disappointing. Food was edible but flavorless. We put that we were celebrating a birthday on the reservation but they didn’t even acknowledge it! Only good thing was the uni which was more expensive than it should’ve been. I’ve had better fish with more flavor from H-Mart…

We were somewhat disappointed despite hearing rave reviews about this restaurant. It's possible that we just chose the wrong rolls, but we didn't particularly enjoy the food. The interior is beautifully decorated with wood, but it's quite loud inside. The service was friendly and fast.
