Crispy Fried Chicken - San Diego

I usually go here for their chicken, but today their lunch special. This is good portion, juicy chicken, real shrimps inside the shrimp poppers and you get 2 sides. This is the bomb! You might have to wait a bit because they cook your food right there. Not like fast food.

During the pandemic, this restaurant was fantastic! However, I haven't ordered in a long time because of the price increase. It's become quite expensive for me. My favorite dish is the cornbread, which is delicious! Unfortunately, the chicken I had this time was neither crispy nor flavorful, and it didn’t seem very fresh. I really hoped for better chicken, but it just didn’t live up to my expectations. I ended up eating one piece and throwing the rest away from my 10-piece order. I'm frustrated about spending so much money and not having lunch for the week.

I had a fantastic experience at Crispy Fried Chicken. The chicken was cooked to perfection, featuring a crispy and flavorful coating alongside juicy, tender meat. The side dishes were equally delightful, offering a wonderful selection of classic comfort foods. The staff was friendly and efficient, and the ambiance was relaxed and welcoming. I highly recommend visiting Crispy Fried Chicken for some of the finest fried chicken in town!

If you like a non pretentious place with great chicken this is your place. Call your order in to avoid a wait. They have pretty good Mac and cheese as well.

My favorite fried chicken in San Diego. I suggest ordering by phone in advance and then show up about 15 to 20 minutes later. Prices are not bad either. Enjoy. Not a fancy place but they turn out some good chicken. Easily overlooked on El Cajon blvd but it is my go to place when I have a hankering for fried chicken.
