This meal was absolutely exceptional. The food was cooked to perfection with thoughtful combinations, and it arrived promptly. The drinks were delightful and skillfully crafted. The service was quick and friendly, and our server was patient with our silly questions and sense of humor. I will definitely return.

Delicious! Cowboy Star was one of the first restaurants I visited while in San Diego for a work trip, and it set such a high standard that everywhere else couldn't compare. The steak here is extraordinary. We ordered three different cuts, and all of them were fantastic—perfectly seasoned and cooked to the exact right temperature. You wouldn't believe how many places fail to get the steak temperature right. The wine selection is impressive, the decor is charming, and the bartenders are the best in town. The person in charge of the grill is truly a master of his craft. I would definitely recommend this place for any occasion, whether it's a date or a casual meal.

I can't express just how amazing this place is – you really have to visit and see for yourself. I've been there multiple times, and each visit has been a culinary delight. On my first visit, I had the New York Strip, which was cooked to perfection, and the stuffed mushrooms from the bar were absolutely fantastic. The next time, I decided to try something new: bison steak. It was an incredible cut of meat; while it does have some marbling and fat, don't let that put you off. Since that initial experience, I've enjoyed it four more times, and now I find it hard to go back to regular steak. I recommend letting the chef prepare it the way he prefers. Eventually, I'd like to go back and try something different!

This could very well be my new favorite restaurant in downtown. The rustic dishes, generous portions, and outstanding flavors—particularly from the wood-fired grill—are remarkable. I decided to try everything from the starter menu to enjoy a delightful flavor journey, along with three desserts. The fire-smoked meatballs are absolutely delicious. If it's available, definitely go for the off-menu surf 'n' turf option; the wood-fired shrimp is amazing. The service was excellent, even on a busy night.

Another 5 star experience at Cowboy Star! We were lucky enough to have Francisco be out waiter again, truly made the experience 110% better. Our seating was excellent and the food was phenomenal.
