Bidrage med feedbackAvoid this restaurant, even if you're really hungry. I spent over $30 on two terrible breakfast burritos. When I returned them—without asking for a refund—the server/cook reacted aggressively, claiming it was my problem and that she didn't care. There wasn't even a hint of an apology. It was almost lunchtime, yet the place was empty, which is telling.
This is a fantastic, classic hamburger joint that offers a wide variety of hot and cold sandwiches along with all the lunch accompaniments. The waitress was really entertaining, and I enjoyed every aspect of my experience there. If you're traveling down Highway 101, make sure to stop by Dana Point and visit the Sugar Shack! You won't regret it.
She pointed at the menu where it mentions an extra charge for sharing food. No one was planning to share, but she jabbed at it again as if to ensure I understood the policy. There were no words, just an impatient glare waiting for us to place our order. She was combative with my sweet wife, who looked confused while simply trying to order. She even forgot the cheese for the omelet, and the cook ended up sprinkling some on top. “He’s Greek, so he wants you to taste the cheese,” she warned in a tone that clearly said not to complain, because she wouldn’t lift a finger to make it right. Is it a Greek belief that melting cheddar diminishes its flavor? I observed her preparing take-out orders—slapping food together and bagging it in a haphazard manner—it all seemed dreary and unappetizing. Charging over $20 per person for a greasy diner breakfast was outrageous. I won’t be returning.
She seemed argumentative with my sweet wife, who was just trying to place our order in confusion. The cook forgot to include cheese in the omelet, so he sprinkled some on top instead. With a warning tone, the waitress remarked that the cook was Greek and wanted us to truly taste the cheese, implying we shouldn’t complain or expect any adjustments. Do Greeks believe that melting cheddar cheese diminishes its taste? Watching her prepare take-out orders was disheartening—everything was handled in a sloppy and careless manner, and the overall ambiance felt grey, harsh, and depressing. For over $20 per person, I expected more than just a greasy diner breakfast. We definitely won't be returning.
Food was alright, but I really don?t know why everyone is hyping up these cinnamon rolls. I rate and review cinnamon rolls, and after seeing all the comments, I was stoked to try this one. Very disappointed. Rose is very nice.
