Mad Dogs British Pub - San Antonio

The drinks were great and reasonably priced during Happy Hour. The food was tasty bar fare, and the guitarist was fantastic. Overall, it was a very enjoyable evening.

We had dinner on a rare chilly evening in San Antonio at Mad Dog British Pub. We started with a scotch egg as an appetizer and then enjoyed some fish and chips. My husband chose a Guinness to drink, while I opted for a shandy. Our food arrived hot and was absolutely delicious. The service was outstanding as well. We highly recommend Mad Dog's on the Riverwalk!

I ordered the Bangers and Mash. The sausages were tasty, and I could tell the mashed potatoes were made from real potatoes since they had a bit of lumpiness to them. The gravy was decent but had some oddly crunchy bits in it. I wasn’t impressed with the baked beans at all—I would recommend choosing something else instead. While this place caters to tourists, it's still not too bad overall.

Great location on the scenic Riverwalk. Fantastic service and delicious food. Of course it doesn't hurt that it is served by pretty girls in kilts.

Food was decent, but maybe not the best British I've had, but not all servers are good or bad. I had 2 good meals here, and the music was not loud.
