Bidrage med feedbackPerhaps the best upscale restaurant in the south bay. The food and service were absolutely top notch. Best of all, it wasn 't a stuffy atmosphere. I dare you to resist the dessert platter (see pictures).
Came on a Friday, for an early 6pm dinner. The restaurant was fairly quiet at this time. The service was excellent. The wait staff was attentive and knowledgeable. I tried the tasting menu, and was able to make a substitution of the chicken for the duck, for an added fee. By the time I left at 7:45, the restaurant was busy, and a bit loud.
Visiting Le Papilon is always the culinary high point of any business trip to the south Bay. Yes the atmosphere and decor is somewhat classic, but there’s something comforting about this, and combined with the excellent food and service makes for a great experience.
This is a wonderful, elegant spot for quiet dining. It's pricey, but the food is top-notch, and the chef offers small bites throughout the evening. Service is attentive but not rushed. I've been several times, and am impressed every time with the flavors and preparation of the food.
Lovely ambience and food. Loved the rack of lamb, specially the sauce. Also, loved their Alaskan Halibut.
