221 Main Cocktail House - Saint Joseph

Pretty expensive for what it was. Steak was pretty tough. Ambiance was quite nice. Service was average. Not a one refill the entire meal was tough.

The firecracker shrimp, prime rib, ribeye steak, and seafood pasta dish were all excellent. Highly recommend this place. Ask for Rigo he was our server and was great!!

Our party of four was extremely impressed with the menu and customer care through the evening. We had several visits from the owner, including his assistance with crafting a cocktail not listed on the menu. This place is a true St. Joe gem.

Great Prime Rib and cocktails. The fish was also very fresh and perfectly done.

Me and my wife come from culinary backgrounds and we came to 221 Main with high expectations. The overall experience was not bad, but not good. We were there for about 2 hours and most of that was spent waiting. It wasn't busy at the time. The food could've used more salt on everything. The thing that baffled me the most was paying $19 for one crab cake. If I'm paying lots of money at a expensive restaurant, I hope to get my money's worth and mind blowing food. I did like the look of the restaurant very much, but couldn't get the overall vibe. I feel like this place has great potential, but it was under delivered today.
