Bidrage med feedbackI recently visited the new sugar shack in St-Jean-de-Matha and I must say it was excellent. The soup with dried peas and ham was the standout dish for me.
High-quality dining experience featuring dishes made from locally sourced ingredients. The stunning panoramic view overlooking the village, mountains, and sunsets is truly breathtaking. The friendly Joly family, who own the restaurant, are attentive to their customers' needs. Be sure to leave room for dessert, especially the delicious maple cream cabbage.
The restaurant is well furnished and spacious, with excellent service. It is a family-owned business, and the owners are hands-on and work there. The food is better than most other Cabanes in the area, with two options for soup to choose from. The small breads served in a brown paper bag are delicious and melt in your mouth. The portions are small to avoid waste, but you can ask for more if needed. The ham is made in a traditional homemade style, unlike the thin slices served in many other Cabanes. Overall, it was the best traditional Cabane experience I've had in a long time. They also sell delicious products like Maple syrup and meringue. Yummy!
We opted for the take-out box and it was absolutely delicious.
Ice cream is excellent! I chose blueberries, maple and chocolate and my chum took the pancakes, a real pleasure
