Surf's Up Romeoville

This was my first visit to the restaurant, and I ordered the crab and shrimp tray, along with fried and grilled lobster tail, fried green tomatoes, and fried chicken wings. Everything was excellent! I only gave it 4 stars because I thought the crab legs could have had a bit more flavor; I’d say it really deserves 4.5 stars. I’ll definitely return when I'm in the area. The customer service was also quite good.

I ordered the triple play, which included shrimp, catfish, chicken wings, fries, and coleslaw. The food was served hot and tasted fantastic, perfectly seasoned. The service was quick and welcoming. I will definitely return the next time I'm in the area.

I visited this restaurant for the first time while traveling from out of state, as I had heard it was a must-try. I initially drove past it, expecting a storefront, but it’s actually located inside a complex. The menu prices were different from what I expected. Unfortunately, they were out of crab legs, so I decided against ordering a boil. The fried lobster was good, but I wish it had more flavor and a larger portion. I wasn't a big fan of the Henny sauce, and while the chicken was decent, it didn't stand out. Some of the shrimp had a bit of the shell left on, which could've been deveined; that's just a personal preference of mine. It did take a while for the food to arrive, so I recommend calling ahead. The lady who served us was attentive, but the other staff member could use some improvement in customer service skills. Overall, it's a decent spot, and I look forward to trying the boil on my next visit.
