Third Nature Brewing Company - Rockford

Previously gave a 5 star review but not anymore. We haven't been here in a while, but has been a place that we would take family and friends because of their eclectic menu items and beer variety. We were surprised today at the small number of choices on the menu. One of the headings said Salads and Bowls, but there was not a single salad on the menu. There were a couple vegan/vegetarian bowls, a small handful of sandwiches, mac and cheese, meatloaf and a $25 chicken dinner. Sorry, but if I'm spending $25 on an entree I want seafood or pasta! There wasn't really anything on the menu I even wanted, which in the past I had a hard time deciding from several different dishes. They were also out of the beer my husband wanted. We noticed that there were a lot less people there than in the past, especially for a Sunday afternoon. I don't know that we'll be returning.

Update our visit took place on Friday at 4 pm. There were a number of outdoor tables open.This place is setup more as a restaurant than a brewery. You cannot order beers at the bar and sit at any of the tables outside. You’re only allowed to sit at one of the fire pits or stand. We were only getting drinks and because we were required to have a server, the wait was very long.When our friends arrived our server became very rude and irritated and made it verbally clear that she was slammed and could not get to us. Once again, if we had the option to get beers at the bar, it would have reduced the server’s load and given us the ability to get drinks more quickly. It took 25 minutes for our friends’ drink order to arrive.My wife and I frequent many breweries when we travel and this is the first we’ve encountered with no bar tables outside. We will not be back to this location.

We enjoy coming here and the atmosphere is great especially in the summer. We had the meat loaf and it was amazing! Quintin provided the best service we have had at any establishment in recent memory. Will definitely return.
