227 Bistro - Rochester Hills

Our waitress E was a delight! So very pleasant and attentive. The food was fresh and decent. The dessert menu could use an update (there is no menu). We tried a few different items.

Our server was excellent and the food was exceptional

Made reservation through Open Table. It was accepted by the restaurant. Showed up checked in with the hostess who, after seeing my reservation, dismissively said, “as you can see, we are very full and I cannot seat you.” No attempt to address the fact that they accepted a reservation that, presumably, the restaurant indicated was available yet refused to honor. Poor showing on that end of the visit both the restaurant’s decision to put reservation openings that won’t be honored on Open Table the hostess’ indifference dismissive attitude. Fortunately, 2 spots at the bar opened up and we were able to eat. The bartender was great and the food was good too. However, had we not been very hungry, we would have left the restaurant after that lackluster interaction with the hostess.

Our last two trips to the Bistro have been excellent. Both of us loved our dinners and the Creme Brulee while expensive was amazing.
