I recently had a very disappointing experience at Black and Blue restaurant. After having dinner with two friends, one black male and one white female, we were unexpectedly asked to leave the restaurant once we had finished our meal and were catching up. This request felt concerning, especially because I am a person of color, and I couldn't help but think that my race played a role in the way we were treated. The food itself was delicious and of high quality, but the overall dining experience was overshadowed by the unwelcoming and discriminatory behavior of the staff. As someone who values good food and respectful service, this encounter was incredibly upsetting. I believe that all customers deserve to be treated with respect, regardless of their race. Unfortunately, my experience at Black and Blue did not meet this standard. I hope that the management takes immediate action to address and correct these issues, ensuring that all customers feel welcomed and appreciated.
One of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. For appetizer we shared the seafood fondue which was just fantastic. Never had anything like it before! And we both got steaks, 7 oz filet for me and my friend got the center cut strip (was a special) and loved it. Also our cocktails were great and the service was spot on. Everything was just wonderful!
As I've come to expect the food was good, but the service was out of this world. Or server went out of good way to make our experience memorable. We were there with a large group for a work meeting, but we still received personalized recommendations and prompt drinks and sides!
I have been going to black and blue for years. However, lately the place has started to go downhill. Some of the staff are quite in attentive and often forgetful. I ordered the NY Strip medium rare. It arrived medium-well well-done. Server happily said they would cook me a new one. When the new steak arrived, The steak was so raw that they do not even normally serve this to people. The server apologized again for this and cooked me a 3rd steak. Luckily the 3rd time was the charm. Unfortunately, after all of these remedies, everyone else had finished their food, and I had not been able to eat anything. After the meal, we received the check. The check was the wrong one, and was for another table. This again caused another delay. Forgetfulness and lack of attention to detail were the themes of the night. The manager came over herself and gave us a gift card for the mistakes.
