Last night the 7-course menu was removed from the charts with regard to taste and presentation. combined with a beautiful bottle of red...wine and cocktails. 7 mouth watering dishes that both of us travel on a real fine culinary journey, we did not want to finish it. I can say that her personal was exceptional, expects all our needs. the restaurant ambiente that we love it cozy,intim inviting. we would give the unforgettable culinary experience another 10/10. we will visit again soon. if they are looking for a restaurant to celebrate this special ocassion, please give cocotte a visit. Sad that this restaurant has closed. was the best Japanese French fusion at the gold coast. a better situation may have seen it stay open. I trust that it will open again in time.
We had dinner at this lovely restaurant to celebrate my sister’s birthday. The restaurant is quite small but really welcoming and there is also a lovely garden. We started with cocktails which looked and tasted amazing. I especially liked the Yuzu Margarita which was not...too sweet and could really taste the Yuzu. All the dishes we had were beautifully presented and were delicious. My favourite was the sashimi 3 ways. It was truly wonderful and enjoyed every mouthful. Although the food is mainly Japanese, it is not extremely traditional and that made it very interesting and even more enjoyable. My sister was so surprised when the dessert came with a candle and her name written on the plate with chocolate. She felt very spoilt and really made her happy. I came from Melbourne to see my sister for her birthday and as well as seeing her, I was so glad I found this little gem of a restaurant. I wish there was a restaurant like this one in Melbourne too. I will definitely be back as soon as I can!
This is a suburban restaurant with a casual fitout but with obvious care in the cooking and presentation of quality ingredients that results in serving fabulous quality meals. We had scallops, crab and truffle risotto (the best risotto I have ever tasted), duck (my wife) and the signature beef cheek and oxtail(me). All of the meals were prepared to perfection and depending on your mood would be the only reason to choose one over the other. I was unable to finish all of the cocotte beef cheeks, but my daughter obliged by finishing the meal. We have been three times now and the food and service have always been excellent. Just a word of warning... this is a restaurant that carefully cooks its food and so it is much slower than a normal bistro style meal that many restaurants serve. Take that mindset to the table, and you are sure to enjoy a relaxed unhurried meal with family or friends.
It's about 20minutes drive from main surfers paradise area therefore the restaurant is not very busy. However, the food and service was amazing! We arrived when kitchen was about to close but they were still happy to serve us. We were enjoying the food and chit chatting, and totally forgot about the time but they did not hurry us to leave at all. We love their scallop, organic crispy pork belly, black truffle spanner crab risotto, steak, chocolate souffle and the pear tarte tin!
