The Project - ROBE

After looking at a few restaurants I thought we'd give the pizza project a go, the reviews weren't consistent but I can only go on what we experienced. Table service was a plus, good range of wines, beers and ciders - good to try local. My partner got the fish of the day - freshly caught snapper by the family themselves and it was to die for and only $18. I had a GF pulled pork pizza and again, it was amazing!

Food was excellent here. The prices were consistent with the area. They were accommodating to a garlic allergy as well.

Pizza average a little too moist the open lasagne with salad was nice. Thought it a bit pricy for pick-up.

We drove into Robe for the long weekend in the evening on Friday and thought takeaway pizza with a bottle of wine might be nice. We picked up a takeaway menu and called in our order when we got to the rental, and were advised that the 2 pizzas would be 25-30 minutes. No problems! We rocked up after 30 minutes and were told they weren’t quite ready and would be another 5 minutes, if that. Okay, we’ll just sit while we wait. 20 minutes later the girl came out to tell us that they were just cutting the pizzas up and they’d only be 2 minutes, so we paid and waited….. another 10 minutes! Guys, if it really takes you 10 minutes to cut 2 pizzas, then you have a problem! We would have been happy to wait an hour if we’d known it would be an hour, but after all that and zero apology for the delay, we weren’t impressed. A bit of honesty around timing and an apology goes a long way! Staying positive and hoping we’d still have some delicious pizzas for dinner, we drove the 45 seconds home and started to dig in. The pizzas were okay, nothing stand out, and were partly cold in the middle, the sort of cold as if they hadn’t been cooked for long enough.They seem popular, possibly due to being the only pizza place in Robe, but sorry guys, we wouldn’t go back! Too long to wait, very average service and just okay pizzas. Hopefully just a busy night due to the long weekend.

We decided to eat here after seeing a couple of reviews. We booked and I'm glad we did, because even though it was a Monday night, the place filled up quickly. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the pizzas were absolutely amazing! Beer battered fries were awesome as was the garlic bread. We will definitely be eating here again and I will highly recommend to friends. If you're in Robe this restaurant is a must! Well done to the staff here.
