Bidrage med feedbackVisting a neighbouring suburb for breakfast for the first time. The Manly market was on, the sun was out, Keiths on Cambridge overlooked the Marina...what else could you want..? good service and food for starters! We entered, the cafe wasn 't that busy, inside tables were...mainly empty so we chose one of those. Table wasn 't set, still dirty. No immediate attention so I hopped up to find a menu, the waitress then turned up to clean up, take orders fopr food, coffee etc. Small deduction here. Water brought to our table warm other tables you could see the condensation on the bottles so obviously out of the fridge not ours. Another minimal deduction. After 15 minutes remember, quiet cafe 2 hot drinks turn up, not ours : Another couple of minutes saw us right though. The cup for the tea dirty. My coffee, very good. Food probably took 25 mins. One order was pancakes they were burnt but cunningly flipped up so the burnt side was turned downwards. Not TOO burnt butt enough that the kitchen should not have served. I had corn fritter with poached eggs and bacon and mushies. The corn fritter fell apart when cut, it was still wet inside. The poached eggs were rock solid I think the chef must have thought it was golf day and whatever I didn 't eat he could tee off at the first hole at Royal Brisbane. There was an old, dirty scrunched up napkin under one of our table legs to stop it rocking. When we mentioned to the waitress our disappointment with the food she said she would get Mark to come and see us. Apparently Mark was a a fairy tale character because he did not eventuate. Went to pay the bill, the fella at the counter was pretty non plussed about my further re iteration that his was all a pretty bad experience . All he could say was Oh really I will tell Keith Seriously..? Just dismiss us, pat us on the backside and send us off? Not even a sorry ..? This now is where all the deductions of score started tumbling. Sorry guys a little contrition and ANY kind of genuine acknowledgement and care would have gone a long way here. Sorry, but it was nearly an episode of Fawlty Tales. Might have been missing Basil and Manuels rats. but there was Sybil and a littany of poor attempts at service, food and customer service
My first visit to this restaurant and it was not disappointed. the eating was exquisite . the restaurant overlooks manly harbour another bonus. the restaurant staff was very friendly and obliged. we had 11-12 in our group and they were not fazed. it took some time. for our meals, but understandably with a large group. worth a visit.
Have had the pleasure of dining here at Keiths on Cambridge twice in the last few months. It is definitely a must. Make sure you have plenty of time to enjoy the experience. It is by no means a take away café.......Selection on the menu was great. All you could wish for especially with the specials of the day.We all arrived at midday and left finally at around 4pm. No one pushed us out.The service and staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The owner and I believe he Is also the head chef. Great guy. lovely to speak to the owner and let him know your true feelings about how you rate his restaurant.Atmoshpere fantastic, gorgeous location and beautiful people. Will be back for my birthday soon. Thanks guys well done. 5 stars to you all. My husband and I have just thoroughly enjoyed Tapas for 2. Each dish was delicious and very generous portions. By the end of our 6 course feast we were very full. A lovely cold glass of house wine is also included. Highly recommend this restaurant and we will be back
My husband and I had a wonderful meal at Keith's on Cambridge. It was quite special - enjoying a drink and excellent food in relaxing surroundings, overlooking the marina and a wonderful moon. The meal really was first-class, and we will go again very soon. Would recommend it to everyone.
