Chef Roy's Frog City Cafe - Rayne

This restaurant is clean, has great tasting food, and a friendly staff. Our waitress, Joanna was beyond pleasant. I recommend that chicken isabel! My wife is awestruck by the grilled chicken breast. Joseph Chevis I have not been solicited for this welldeserved 5/5 rating.

Great Dinner. Chef Roy's is located just off if I 10 but set back and hard to see. It is just north of I 10 on the left side just before the Days Inn. The clerk at the Best Western Motel recommended it. I wanted a good Louisianna Seafood dinner and Iwas not disappointed. I ordered the seafood platter grilled (You have a choice of fried or grilled) and it was great! Theplatter consisted of 6 small shrimp, stuffed shrimp, 3 or 4 oysters, crab cake, blackened catfish fillet, and a frog leg. Theplatter included a very good salad (the ranch dressing was great) and bread. For a slight up charge I had the eggplant fries they were not only different, but good. My server, Ashley, did a great job, she was courteous, helpful and efficient. Thedinner, with a unsweet tea was $34.36 before gratuity which is a good value. The owner came through the dining room to seehow everyone was enjoying their dinner. He seemed to know many of the patrons, which led me to believe that this is a localplace. If you find yourself in Rayne I highly recommend it.

I had the shrimp and grits. My friend had the fried shrimp. I enjoyed my dish and I tried my friends shrimp. I won't order the dish I had again, but I would try the fried shrimp.
