Bali-hai - Raleigh

I love the food from this place! I often bring my family along since they ask to eat here several times a week. It's a buffet-style restaurant where you can create your own dish, then cook it, and you pay by weight.

Compared to their North Raleigh location, the staff here wasn't very friendly. It seemed like this place was still operating with a Covid mentality.

If I could give this restaurant a zero rating, I absolutely would. I’m baffled by how they are still in business. The service was awful. The noodles were overcooked and muddy, there wasn’t any broccoli, and the only sauce available was from a bottle. They charged an extra $3 for chicken, which I barely received. The ordering process was bizarre; you have to weigh your food, and the pricing just didn’t make sense. The staff constantly pressured us to sit down. When my husband asked for drink options, he was met with rudeness. Overall, it was the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant, and I will definitely not be returning.

Food was good and fast. But I do honestly, I like crazy fire better... just more options. You had no chicken here. But the food tastes good

The Garner location some times feels like the forgotten child in the Bali Hai family but I have to say that they do a great job here. The staff is helpful and easy to get along with. The cook knows his spice levels pretty well. I have never had a bad dish here.
