Sonu Juice Shop - Pushkar

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. I wish I could give it zero stars, and I rarely leave negative reviews, but here we go. I have been following a plant-based vegan diet for 4 years now. While in Pushkar, I wanted to try one of their famous lassis, but traditional lassis contain curd and are not vegan. This juice bar advertised vegan options, so I decided to give it a try. I spoke to the owner and explained that I needed a dairy-free lassi. He assured me that he was using vegan ingredients like soya. However, after consuming the lassi, I had an allergic reaction because he had lied to me. I have a severe reaction to dairy due to being dairy-free for so long. I am extremely disappointed and disgusted that he would deceive me like that. I now have doubts about the authenticity of other "vegan" items on their menu. I would be surprised if they were truly vegan.

This restaurant makes their own vegan ice cream using almond milk, which is honestly better than vegan Ben & Jerry's. The best part is that it's sugar-free! They offer a variety of flavors like choco almond, oreo, chikoo, and coffee. The prices are very affordable. Their smoothies are delicious and nutritious, almost like a full meal. It's a paradise for raw vegans. They also sell fresh coconut water. I absolutely love this place!

I asked for vegan milk but was given cow's milk instead. Their explanation was that they did not hear me correctly.

I have been following a vegan diet for 4 years, so when I tried one of their popular drinks in Pushkar, I was shocked to discover that it was not vegan-friendly due to the inclusion of curd. Despite the menu advertising vegan options, the owner assured me that the drink was made with soy and other vegan ingredients. Unfortunately, I had an allergic reaction because he was not truthful about the ingredients. I am extremely disappointed and disgusted that he would deceive me in this way, especially knowing I am vegan. I would advise caution when considering any of their vegan offerings, as I have serious doubts about their authenticity.

They make their own vegan ice cream with almond milk, which is honestly better than vegan alternatives.
