Hot Jam Donuts Preston Market

The donuts are enjoyable, but I found the "Jam" filling to be quite disappointing. It has an excessive amount of sugar and red coloring, making it feel rather ordinary. This update reflects my thoughts since my previous review on June 19, 2022.

If they didn't realize these were accidentally vegan, then I truly pity them! They've missed out on years of delicious donuts to savor. They're made fresh each week and always served warm. The dough is soft and fried to a perfect golden crisp on the outside, with gooey jam spilling out with each bite. The jam is more like a thick, red, berry-flavored syrup, and I can't even tell if it contains real fruit. But it definitely hits the spot, especially after a day of shopping at the market.

We adopted the doughnut eating pose incase the jam squirted out onto our clothes. Sure enough the molten hot jam errupted after my first bite! Lovely hot donuts, maybe on the stodgier side, I prefer them a bit lighter. But I still enjoyed eating my donut, non greasy, and hit that sweet spot! Updated from previous review on 2022-12-30

If you didn’t know these were accidentally vegan, I feel sorry for you! You have years of missed donuts to catch-up on. Prepare to line up on weekends. They’re always served fresh and piping hot. Soft dough, fried to a golden crisp on the outside, molten “jam“ spilling out with every bite. The jam is really just thick red, berry-flavoured syrup, not even sure if it contains real fruit. But it hits the spot at the end of a big market shop.
