Thistle Bistro - Portland

I had a memorable evening with friends thanks to the wonderful views from the front window. The classy salmon with asparagus was delicious. The staff were professional and friendly. I highly recommend this place!

The food is nice, service is only welcoming to locals, staff greet outsiders with a reserved regimental approach, they don't tell you that you have to serve yourself if you want extra plates, cutlery or napkins, which I located on a trolley in the centre of the restaurant.Alcoholic drinks are overpriced and you will be stung by the prices if your not local. A jack Daniels &coke was $26 and lemon squash $9. Wouldn't advise going unless you have cash to splash.

Was there for our daughters birthday, the staff were very friendly and the prices were very reasonable.. The amenities were very clean and well maintained.. The food was great and they do cater for children. Recommended
