Taco Box - Portales

During our road trip through northern New Mexico, we discovered this restaurant with excellent reviews and decided to give it a try. We were blown away by the delicious food and wished they would expand up to Michigan. We ordered a chicken chimichanga, which was rich with cream cheese, pork carnitas flautas that were the best I've ever had, and cheddar fries, which were tater tots topped with melted cheese. If we ever find ourselves driving through Portales again, this restaurant will definitely be a must-stop for us!

I absolutely adore the Coconut Sweet Tea at this restaurant. It's the main reason I keep coming back! The only downside of Taco Box is their high prices. $6 for a small order of cheese sticks is just too much in my opinion. But, did I mention how much I love the Coconut Sweet Tea? It's so delicious!

Love the Coconut Sweet Tea. That's the only reason I go there! The only thing putting taco box at a disadvantage is their prices. They are ridiculous. 6$ for a mini sized cheese sticks. There's 4 to a mini order and that to me is expensive! Did I mention I love the Coconut Sweet Tea? Yum!!

Food was okay but for $35 I expected a little more. Ordered 2x chicken taco bowls for me my wife it was basically iceberg romian lettuce. I felt robbed for the 2x tea spoons of chicken we received on our bowl and smidgen of guacamole.
